Innotek Sues US Over Human Waste Bag Patent

Law360, New York (April 11, 2011, 7:24 PM EDT) -- American Innotek Inc. on Friday accused a nonprofit that provides work for blind people of infringing a patent through the manufacture of human waste disposal bags for the U.S. military, arguing that the federal government should pay up.

American Innotek filed suit in the U.S. Court of Federal Claims, saying the U.S. assumed liability for the infringement because the waste disposal bags manufactured by the New York City Industries for the Blind were made under contract for the government.
