Disney Can't Dodge Interference Claim In Patent Suit

Law360 (April 12, 2011, 3:38 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge refused Monday to trim an economic interference claim against a Walt Disney Co. unit from a patent and contract lawsuit accusing the company of stealing an inventor's idea for a children's sleepover pack.

Judge Andrew J. Guilford of the U.S. District Court for the Central District of California denied Disney Consumer Products Inc.'s bid to dismiss a claim that the company intentionally interfered with GEM and I Products Inc.'s prospective economic advantage when it stopped a vendor from producing the packs....
