Hospitals Urge Court To Revive UnitedHealth Fraud Suit

Law360, New York (April 12, 2011, 6:38 PM EDT) -- An attorney for three New York City hospitals told a state appeals court Tuesday that a lower court was too hasty in tossing the hospitals' false claims suit against UnitedHealth Group Inc. and other insurers.

The attorney general has even expressed support for the hospitals in an amicus brief for the case, which alleges the insurers underpaid state fees because they fraudulently lowered payouts to the hospitals, according to Barry M.
