VA Subcontractor Slapped With Fraud, Contract Suit

Law360, New York (April 14, 2011, 7:49 PM EDT) -- Aquilent Inc., which provides information technology support to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, sued its subcontractor in Virginia on Thursday over an alleged breach of contract that jeopardizes the company's effort to upgrade and maintain VA databases.

Subcontractor Distributed Solutions Inc. broke an agreement to provide necessary software licenses, instead secretly teaming with a competitor that was vying for Aquilent's VA contract, according to Aquilent's complaint, filed in the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Virginia.
