Indeck Withdraws Power Plant Proposal In Settlement

Law360, New York (May 2, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- Indeck Energy Services Inc. has settled eight years of litigation with a county in Illinois, ending its $40 million lawsuit against the county by agreeing to give up construction plans for a power plant.

Indeck and McHenry County jointly said Monday that the Buffalo Grove-based company would stop trying to push ahead with a building proposal for an electric generating facility, known as a peaker plant, in farmland north of Huntley, according to the Daily Herald.
