ITC Whittles Apple 337 Claims Against HTC, Nokia

Law360, New York (April 14, 2011, 7:20 PM EDT) -- The judge overseeing Apple Inc.’s Section 337 case against Nokia Corp. and HTC Corp. in the U.S. International Trade Commission on Wednesday refused Apple's bid to quash testimony, and narrowed the patent claims in the battle over wireless communications technology.

Administrative Law Judge Carl C. Charneski signed off on Apple’s motion to dismiss 11 claims relating to five different patents and streamline the investigation into whether Nokia and HTC import devices that incorporate Apple’s smartphone technology.
