Taiwanese Co. Fights Polyvinyl Alcohol Duties

Law360 (April 14, 2011, 6:14 PM EDT) -- A Taiwan-based chemical company launched a challenge Thursday to an anti-dumping duty order on polyvinyl alcohol from Taiwan recently published by the U.S. Department of Commerce’s International Trade Administration.

Chang Chun Petrochemical Co. Ltd. filed its summons against the U.S. and related preliminary documents in the U.S. Court of International Trade, but has yet to file a complaint.

The anti-dumping order at issue was published in March, while the DOC’s final decision on the matter was handed down in February.
