ITC Lifts Duties On Mexican, Swedish Cellulose Gum

Law360, New York (April 18, 2011, 12:22 PM EDT) -- The U.S. International Trade Commission said Thursday that it plans to revoke an anti-dumping order on cellulose gum from Mexico and Sweden, but that duties on imports from Finland and the Netherlands will remain in place.

Having completed a five-year review of the duties, the ITC found revoking the existing anti-dumping duty orders on purified carboxymethylcellulose — a thickening agent — from Finland and the Netherlands would likely lead to a recurrence of material injury to domestic producers, while revoking the orders on imports from Mexico...
