Ex-Camp Lejeune Worker Sues US Over Water Supply

Law360 (April 15, 2011, 5:42 PM EDT) -- A former worker at Camp Lejeune filed suit in Georgia this month against the U.S., contending she developed cancer because of contaminated water at the military base and accusing the government of negligence over the pollution.

The complaint Linda Jones lodged April 8 in the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Georgia joins multiple actions against the government in multidistrict litigation in that venue over deaths and injuries from water at the North Carolina Marine Corps base that was allegedly tainted with chlorinated solvents...
