Biotech Co., Mintz Levin Settle Suit Over Patents

Law360, New York (April 15, 2011, 7:34 PM EDT) -- A biotech company and its former counsel Mintz Levin Cohn Ferris Glovsky & Popeo PC on Friday settled a California lawsuit accusing the law firm of divulging confidential information related to patent applications dealing with identifying biological markers for diabetes.

Judge Claudia Wilken of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of California signed an order dismissing Tethys Biosciences Inc.'s claims against Mintz Levin and Ivor Elrifi, co-chairman of the firm's intellectual property section.
