Wachovia Suit Against Delphi Employee Stayed

Law360, New York (May 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A bankruptcy judge has thwarted Wachovia Bank NA’s efforts to pursue a breach of contract and tortious interference suit against a Delphi Corp. employee, extending the bankrupt company's protection against lawsuits to the employee.

Judge Robert Drain in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court of Southern New York on Wednesday ruled that the automatic stay of lawsuits against Delphi should extend to its employee, Larry Graves.

An attorney for Wachovia did not return a phone call on Thursday seeking comment.
