Cape Wind Set To Start Construction In Fall: Salazar

Law360, New York (April 19, 2011, 3:08 PM EDT) -- Federal regulators have approved a construction plan for the Cape Wind Energy Project in Massachusetts that will allow construction on the nation's first offshore wind farm to begin by fall, Secretary of the Interior Ken Salazar said Tuesday.

The Bureau of Ocean Energy Management, Regulation and Enforcement signed off on a construction and operations plan by Cape Wind Associates LLC, which is planning to build a $2.6 billion, 130-turbine facility in Nantucket Sound.
