Judge Preps Ex-Frontier CEO's Fraud Case For Trial

Law360, New York (April 19, 2011, 5:21 PM EDT) -- A federal magistrate judge in Georgia again recommended Monday that the investment fraud case against Jeffrey Wallace Edwards go to trial and that the court reject the former Frontier Holdings Inc. CEO's bids to have the charges thrown out.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Gerrilyn G. Brill ruled that Edward's motion to throw out the 37-count indictment because of alleged prosecutorial misconduct should be denied, and she shot down several other motions by the defense, including a move to bar a government expert from testifying at trial....
