BP Blames Managers For Texas Refinery Blast

Law360 (May 3, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A previously confidential report by BP PLC about a fatal 2005 plant explosion in Texas City, Texas, was disclosed Thursday, revealing recommendations that four executives and managers be terminated for failing to perform their job duties and making poor decisions.

The February report, which was released by court order, also suggested that the company review John Manzoni, BP’s chief refinery executive, because he failed to perform his job.
