Apple, HTC, Others Face MP3 Tech Patent Suit

Law360, New York (April 20, 2011, 3:21 PM EDT) -- Hybrid Audio LLC launched a suit in Texas federal court Wednesday accusing Apple Inc., HTC Corp. and five others of infringing a patent related to MP3 processing technology.

Apple, HTC, Dell Inc., Motorola Mobility Inc., Nokia Corp., Research In Motion Ltd. and Samsung Electronics Co. Ltd. manufacture smartphones, computers and music players — including Apple's iPhone 4, RIM's BlackBerry and Dell's Inspiron computers — that infringe U.S. Patent Number RE40,281, Hybrid alleges.
