Toro, Sprinkler Co. End Antitrust, Merger Fraud Fight

Law360, New York (April 20, 2011, 4:32 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge ended sprinkler company Digital Sun Inc.'s antitrust and merger fraud case against lawn care giant The Toro Co. on Tuesday after the two sides reached a confidential settlement.

U.S. District Judge Lucy H. Koh granted dismissal after the parties requested it Monday, one day after her deadline for Digital Sun to amend its suit accusing Toro of engaging in phony negotiations and making and rescinding lucrative offers in order to weaken its smaller competitor.
