US Investigates Chipotle's Undocumented Hires

Law360 (April 20, 2011, 10:35 PM EDT) -- Federal prosecutors have joined an investigation led by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement into Chipotle Mexican Grill Inc.'s hiring of undocumented workers, company executives announced Wednesday in an investor conference call.

The Denver, Colo.-based company has been "completely open and transparent" with both ICE and the criminal division of the U.S. Attorney's Office in Washington, D.C., and provided all documents requested, Chipotle Co-CEO Montgomery Moran said in the call.
