DOC Launches Anti-Dumping Probe Over UAE Nails

Law360, New York (April 22, 2011, 2:54 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce said Thursday it would launch an anti-dumping duty investigation into steel nail imports from the United Arab Emirates to determine if they are being sold in the U.S. at less than normal value.

Over the past two years, imports of certain types of steel nails from the UAE have jumped 145 percent by volume, Commerce said. In 2010, imports of those steel nails were valued at an estimated $101.5 million.
