Commerce Eyes Chemical Agents From China, Taiwan

Law360, New York (April 22, 2011, 5:09 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce said Thursday it had launched an investigation into whether China and Taiwan have sold certain stilbenic optical brightening agents in the U.S. at less than fair value.

Commerce said the anti-dumping investigation, which began Wednesday, aims to determine whether the U.S. industry has been materially injured or threatened as a result of the imports, which are also being probed by the U.S. International Trade Commission.
