GE, Sharp, Others Face LED Patent Suit

Law360, New York (April 22, 2011, 12:55 PM EDT) -- General Electric Co., Sharp Electronics Corp. and others were hit with a suit in Washington state on Thursday alleging they infringe a patent covering light-emitting diode technology.

Takion Co. Ltd. claims GE, Sharp, LEDtronics Inc., Philips Electronics North America Corp., Toshiba International Corp., Westinghouse Electric Co. LLC and Normande Lighting LLC had infringed the patent with their LED lamp products.
