Regions Bank, Former Teller Settle OT Action

Law360, New York (April 25, 2011, 7:54 PM EDT) -- Regions Bank has agreed to settle a class action brought by a Florida ex-teller who claimed the bank routinely failed to pay its tellers overtime, the two sides said Monday.

Regions and the plaintiff, former teller Yolanda Saliford, asked a Florida federal court to dismiss the case, saying they reached a deal. Under the settlement, Regions will pay tellers who make claims three years in back pay, up to 2 1/2 hours of overtime per week, according to their joint motion.
