FAPIIS Rules Open New Front In Procurement Battles

Law360, New York (May 18, 2011, 9:45 PM EDT) -- A newly public federal database on government contractors includes a laundry list of information that could be used to disqualify contractors from getting government work or otherwise put them at risk, which means a new potential battleground for procurement competitions has just been opened, attorneys say.

The Federal Awardee Performance and Integrity Information System, which became public April 15, provides government contracting officers a single-source database for assessing contractors' level of integrity, past performance and responsibility.
