ITC Panel Affirms Crocs' Patents Are Enforceable

Law360, New York (April 26, 2011, 5:38 PM EDT) -- A U.S. International Trade Commission panel ruled in favor of Crocs Inc. on Monday in the shoe maker's trade action against several competitors, upholding a judge's decision that its patents were enforceable and finding the competitors had violated federal tariff laws.

The six-member panel's ruling hands a major victory to Crocs after numerous twists and turns in a five-year battle to protect its core business from alleged imported knockoffs.
