Ex-Stanford CEO Tries To Toss $3M Suit Over Ponzi Plot

Law360, New York (April 26, 2011, 3:36 PM EDT) -- Ex-Stanford Group Co. CEO Danny Bogar moved Monday to squash a $3 million lawsuit brought in Texas by the court-appointed receiver in charge of recovering money for victims of Robert Allen Stanford's alleged $7 billion Ponzi scheme.

Danny Bogar and his wife, Brandilyn, fought back in a motion to dismiss against receiver Ralph S. Janvey's Texas federal court accusations that they scored millions of dollars raised from Stanford's sale of allegedly fraudulent certificates of deposit.
