2nd Circ. Lifts Ex-Dorsey & Whitney Atty's Suspension

Law360, New York (April 26, 2011, 7:36 PM EDT) -- The Second Circuit on Monday vacated the seven-year suspension imposed on a former Dorsey & Whitney LLP partner for her conduct in representing Wolters Kluwer Financial Services Inc. in a trade secrets dispute.

The appeals court panel ruled that the Southern District of New York's Grievance Committee had improperly decided to forego an independent evidentiary hearing and relied on a judge's decision on sanctions in suspending attorney Kristan Peters from practicing before the court for seven years.
