Ampex Files ITC Complaint, Federal Lawsuit Vs. Kodak Unit Over Digital Camera Patents

Law360, New York (October 21, 2004, 12:00 AM EDT) -- U.S. visual information technology company Ampex Corp. has filed a complaint with the U.S. International Trade Commission (ITC) against Eastman Kodak Co. and a Japanese subsidiary for alleged infringement of a patented digital camera technology.

Ampex requested that the ITC launch an investigation into the alleged infringement of its patent on digital image storage and retrieval devices and sought an order from the agency barring Eastman Kodak and Kodak Digital Product Center from selling digital still cameras on the U.S. market.
