Edgewood Can't Add Parties To CERCLA Fight With Ford

Law360, New York (April 27, 2011, 8:03 PM EDT) -- A federal judge in New Jersey on Wednesday upheld a decision to bar Edgewood Properties Inc. from adding new parties to a complaint against Ford Motor Co. in litigation over the cleanup of contaminated concrete, saying the company’s request came too late.

Affirming a September ruling by a magistrate judge, U.S. District Judge William Martini ruled that Edgewood’s motion to bring new claims on behalf of property owners who received contaminated concrete from a demolished Ford factory would unduly delay the case.
