Enterprise Snaps Up Rest Of Duncan Energy In $2.5B Deal

Law360, New York (April 29, 2011, 4:25 PM EDT) -- Houston-based Enterprise Product Partners LP said Friday it had agreed to buy 42 percent of Duncan Energy Partners LP, the portion that it doesn't already own, in a deal valued at $2.5 billion.

The merger announcement comes on the heels of Duncan Energy shareholders launching two class actions in Delaware to block the union with Enterprise, whose wholly owned subsidiary serves as Duncan Energy's general partner and owns about 58 percent of Duncan Energy.
