Feds Only After Me For My Husband: Grupo Director

Law360, New York (April 29, 2011, 8:41 PM EDT) -- The wife of the Grupo Internacional de Asesores SA director accused of bribing Mexican officials for a utility contract asked a California federal judge to acquit her Friday, saying federal prosecutors only charged her to get at her husband.

Lawyers for defendant Angela Aguilar, also a Grupo director, said she is a traditional wife to a controlling husband, and had no idea their joint account might have been used in a bribery scheme.
