CB&I Can't Escape Contract Suit In Texas

Law360, New York (May 2, 2011, 7:30 PM EDT) -- A Texas appeals court on Friday rejected a bid by energy infrastructure developer CB&I Inc. and its unit Howe-Baker Engineers Ltd. to toss a suit brought by a company contracted to work on a gas-processing project that sued to recover fees it allegedly overpaid.

The appeals court affirmed a Harris County trial court decision denying CB&I's motion to dismiss a suit from Enterprise Products Operating LLC, citing problems with an affidavit Enterprise filed with its original complaint.
