Quantum World Sues Lenovo Over Late Royalty Payments

Law360, New York (May 3, 2011, 8:46 PM EDT) -- Florida technology company Quantum World Corp. sued computer maker Lenovo Inc. Tuesday in Texas federal court for its alleged refusal to pay royalties it owes as part an earlier patent suit settlement.

Quantum World, which makes random number generators used in cryptography, claims that Lenovo's royalty payments are too small and often late, in violation of an agreement that ended a 2007 patent suit. The immediate complaint partially reopens the four-year-old suit against Lenovo that appeared settled in April 2009.
