Appeals Court Tosses 4 of 6 Claims Against Grasso

Law360, New York (May 8, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- The New York State Attorney General’s office has vowed to appeal after an appeals court in Manhattan threw out four of the six claims in a lawsuit seeking to recover some of the $187.5 million exit package given to erstwhile New York Stock Exchange Chairman Richard Grasso.

In a 3-2 decision, the First Judicial Department of the New York State Supreme Court’s Appellate Division held that the attorney general did not have legal authority to assert four causes of action against Grasso.
