Trade Agreements Ready For Congress, USTR Says

Law360, New York (May 4, 2011, 1:36 PM EDT) -- The Obama administration said Wednesday that it was ready for Congress to draft bills to implement pending free trade agreements with South Korea, Panama and Colombia, although the Colombian government must still take certain steps before that agreement can receive congressional approval.

U.S. Trade Representative Ron Kirk sent letters to the chairmen and ranking members of the Senate Finance and House Ways and Means committees on Wednesday informing them that all three deals are ready for consideration by Congress, now that outstanding issues have been resolved....
