NLRB Targets Nurses' Union Over Unilateral CBA Text

Law360, New York (May 6, 2011, 7:23 PM EDT) -- A National Labor Relations Board office issued a novel complaint on April 29, fighting the California Nurses Association's alleged decision to print information on workers' rights on copies of collective bargaining agreements across the U.S.

The California Nurses Association, part of the country's largest nurses union, allegedly printed the Weingarten Rights on agreements without permission from employers, which Los Angeles Regional Office Director James J. McDermott alleges actually restrained employee rights and demonstrated a refusal to bargain in good faith.
