Cablevision Sued Over Invidi Targeted Advertising IP

Law360, New York (May 6, 2011, 6:26 PM EDT) -- Cablevision Systems Corp. was hit with a patent suit Thursday in Delaware for allegedly infringing a patent held by Invidi Technologies Corp. for targeted advertising technology.

According to the suit, Invidi has developed technology that allows advertisers on cable television to target their advertising to specific households based on data about the residents from third-party sources.

Cablevision, which has over three million customers in New York, New Jersey, Connecticut and Pennsylvania, uses products made by Visible World Inc. to engage in targeted advertising, according to the...
