Payroll Co. CEO Gets 6 Years For $20M Tax Swindle

Law360, New York (May 9, 2011, 1:33 PM EDT) -- A California federal judge on Friday sentenced the CEO of payroll company Ingentra HR Services Inc. to more than six years in prison for defrauding SanDisk Corp., Sacramento County and Stanley Solutions Inc. in a $20 million tax swindle.

Pleading guilty in October to one count of wire fraud, Albert Cipoletti faces a 6 1/2-year prison stint and more than $19 million in repayments for pocketing millions of dollars in clients’ tax payments, the U.S. Department of Justice said.
