Nautilus Won't Have To Pay For Downhole's Attys: Judge

Law360, New York (May 9, 2011, 5:37 PM EDT) -- Oil field services company Downhole Navigator LLC is not entitled to have insurer Nautilus Insurance Co. pay for its lawyers in a contract suit after it refused a Nautilus-chosen team, a Texas federal judge said Monday.

U.S. Magistrate Judge Mary Milloy's decision, which partially grants a Nautilus motion for summary judgment, is a major victory for Nautilus in a lawsuit that has its roots in a December 2008 incident in an oil well in Lavaca County, Texas.
