Commerce Finds Chinese Cos. Dodged Hanger Duties

Law360, New York (May 10, 2011, 5:54 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce on Tuesday said it preliminarily concluded that Chinese producers of steel wire garment hangers were avoiding hefty anti-dumping duty margins by collaborating with Vietnamese exporters.

The agency has preliminarily found that Vietnam-based Angang Clothes Rack Manufacture Co. and Quyky Yanglei International Co. Ltd. are circumventing the duties on garment hangers from China, according to a notice published in the Federal Register.
