Agencies Fight Pacific Lumber’s Extension Bid

Law360 (May 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A group of California state agencies has objected to Pacific Lumber Co.’s bid to extend its period of exclusivity, arguing that the bankrupt timber company’s requests are not supported by any evidence.

The objection, filed Wednesday in the U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas, opposes Pacific Lumber’s requests for a four-month extension of the exclusive periods to file and obtain acceptances for its reorganization plan.
