Ex-Primary Global Worker Loses Bid To Dismiss Case

Law360, New York (May 10, 2011, 10:39 PM EDT) -- Former Primary Global Research LLC consultant Winifred Jiau lost her bid Tuesday in New York federal court to dismiss an indictment against her for insider trading.

U.S. District Court Judge Jed S. Rakoff, in a ruling from the bench, rejected Jiau's argument that prosecutors improperly instructed the grand jury on insider trading charges that led to her indictment for allegedly passing along tips about Marvell Technology Group Ltd. and Nvidia Corp. to hedge fund managers.
