Sex Abuse Victims Fight Del. Diocese's Ch. 11 Statement

Law360, New York (May 11, 2011, 3:52 PM EDT) -- A committee representing a group of sex abuse victims filed an objection Tuesday in the Catholic Diocese of Wilmington Inc.'s bankruptcy, protesting the debtor's disclosure statement and the possible reinstatement of pensions for the priests caught abusing children.

The unofficial committee of 99 abuse survivors took issue with the language of the diocese's April 19 reorganization plan stipulating that it could exit bankruptcy without approval of the $77.4 million settlement.
