Ky. Jury Finds 2 Guilty In Oil Investment Scheme

Law360, New York (May 11, 2011, 10:24 PM EDT) -- A federal jury in Kentucky returned guilty verdicts Wednesday against two men accused of operating fraudulent oil and gas investment schemes through Mid-America Energy Inc. and Global Energy Group that targeted senior citizens.

The jury found Lexington, Ky., attorney Bryan Coffman and former Mid-America owner Gary Moss Milby guilty of mail fraud, wire fraud and securities fraud, according to Coffman's attorney Steven Romines. Coffman was also convicted of money laundering and conspiracy to commit money laundering, Romines said.
