Entenmann's Donuts Recalled Over Mold Risk

Law360, New York (May 12, 2011, 5:27 PM EDT) -- Bimbo Bakeries USA Inc. on Tuesday voluntarily recalled Entenmann’s and Donitas brands of packaged doughnuts across six states after customers complained of foul odor and mold. 

Customers noticed an “uncharacteristic smell” coming from the doughnut packages,  according to Bimbo. The odor could be caused by mold contamination occurring before the expiration date, the company said.

The doughnuts at issue are 10-ounce packages of Entenmann’s Powdered and Cinnamon Pop’Em doughnuts and 10.5-ounce packages of Rich Frosted Pop'Ems doughnuts distributed in Arizona, California, Nevada and Utah. The Donitas doughnuts included in...
