Exelon Boosts Clean Energy Fleet With $305M Deal

Law360, New York (May 12, 2011, 1:10 PM EDT) -- Exelon Corp. on Thursday announced the expansion of its roster of clean energy power plants with the $305 million acquisition of a natural gas-fired facility in Texas from Sequent Wolf Hollow LLC.

The deal provides Exelon with its fourth natural gas-fired power plant in the Texas power market and positions the electric utility, already the country’s largest owner of nuclear power plants, as a low-emissions leader at a time when coal and oil-fired power plants are coming under stiffer regulation.
