Commerce Revokes Duties On Gluten-Free Italian Pasta

Law360, New York (May 12, 2011, 5:28 PM EDT) -- The U.S. Department of Commerce on Thursday partially revoked the countervailing duty order on pasta from Italy, exempting gluten-free pasta at the request of H.J. Heinz Co.

The agency revoked the order with respect to unliquidated entries of gluten-free pasta from Italy retroactively to Jan. 1, 2009, the day after the last administrative review of the duties was completed, Commerce said in a notice published in the Federal Register.
