Axed Atty Fights For Share Of FedEx Deals In 9th Circ.

Law360, San Francisco (May 12, 2011, 4:34 PM EDT) -- A fired plaintiffs' attorney who worked on employment discrimination lawsuits against Federal Express Corp. told the Ninth Circuit on Thursday the company and her former co-counsel failed to pay her fees in full after the cases settled for over $4 million.

Kay McKenzie Parker, who once represented certain of the plaintiffs in their race and gender discrimination allegations against FedEx along with co-counsel Waukeen McCoy of the Law Offices of Waukeen Q. McCoy, claims a lower court wrongly absolved FedEx from paying her statutory attorneys’ fees...
