Judge Threatens To Nix DirectSat Technician OT Class

Law360, New York (May 12, 2011, 7:55 PM EDT) -- The Wisconsin judge overseeing a class action accusing DirectSat USA LLC of denying its technicians proper overtime pay threatened to decertify the class on Thursday, saying the case may have become unmanageable.

Denying the plaintiffs' motion to supplement their damages expert report, U.S. District Judge Barbara B. Crabb said the technicians' plan for establishing liability and damages at a trial scheduled to commence June 6 did not give adequate consideration to the plaintiffs' distinct claims.
