Group Says “Enough” In Pfizer Unit Ch. 11 Case

Law360, New York (May 10, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- With proceedings at a virtual standstill, a group of attorneys representing asbestos victims has asked the Manhattan bankruptcy court to intervene in the case of a defunct Pfizer unit and appoint a Chapter 11 Trustee.

Earlier this month, the ad hoc group representing the victims argued that Pfizer is deliberately allowing its unit to languish in bankruptcy as a means of protecting itself from having to pay asbestos claims.
