Stanford Receiver Fights Ex-CEO's Bid To Toss $3M Suit

Law360, New York (May 17, 2011, 5:19 PM EDT) -- The receiver tasked with recovering money for victims of Robert Allen Stanford's alleged $7 billion Ponzi scheme fired back Monday at ex-Stanford Group Co. CEO Danny Bogar's bid to toss a Texas federal lawsuit demanding he return $3 million.

Court-appointed receiver Ralph S. Janvey argued that the court should reject Bogar and his wife's motion to dismiss the suit accusing them of raking in millions from Stanford's sale of allegedly fraudulent certificates of deposit, saying the amended complaint he filed with the official Stanford Investors Committee...
