Judge Declines Fee Request In Koons Case

Law360 (May 11, 2007, 12:00 AM EDT) -- A judge declined to award attorneys' fees to the artist Jeff Koons, Deutsche Bank AG and the Solomon R. Guggenheim Foundation after they successfully defended themselves against a copyright lawsuit.

Judge Louis L. Stanton of the U.S. District Court for Southern District of New York ruled Wednesday that Koons had to accept risk because he was an appropriation artist who had been sued previously.
